I don't remember as I havent been there in 9 years.
But at the time, the local was Escudo (Shield) a very good type of ale.
Nowadays I hear they are swamped with imports and that's all they drink.
Well that and Light (read watered down) beers.
yuck!

As I assume this was my thread, my concern was not what anyone would say here but if stuff appeared on other sites where the treatment of folk posting pictures of themselves in uniform is dealt with less kindly.
I know there is genuine interest here which is why I don't have an issue posting.

It's a simple matter to add those members to your Ignore List and then you won't have to sort through threads so carefully.
Up in the NavBar, click on Quick Links
In the dropdown menu, click on User Control Panel
In the left pane, under Your Control Panel, scroll down to Settings & Options
Click on Edit Ignore List
Add the user/s you want to ignore and click on Okay
You're finished

No, no, no, no, no. Jock, it seems you've lost the plot.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, as long as they share it in a tolerant manner. Jock, take a look at these excerpts from the Forum Rules -
Stay on Topic/No Hijacking
If you dont agree with a topic and feel you must post something saying as much then dont post a reply. If you don't care about a topic then dont post a reply. If you dont have anything constructive to add to a post then dont reply.
Be Courteous to all Members
Please try to be courteous to all members. Please treat others as you would like to be treated (unless you are a masochist, then treat all others as you would treat your Mother).
Nowhere in the Forum Rules, which are the guidelines by which all members of this forum are governed, does it say anyone is ever going to have the opportunity to have a go at anyone else.
It's when someone decides to have a go at someone else that we end up with the very problem this thread is about.

These “Week Without” things could make a separate (if depressing) topic.
"Kilt Talk Do's and Dont's"...?
How about a week without: “You get what you pay for”.
My experience is that this is truer than not, but still not always true.
At worst it can be a manipulative up-sell technique without a valid connection to quality, value, or utility.

Or a week without: “My grandmother (or other older relative) always said…”
My own grandmother was famous in the family for saying: “YOU PAID WHAT FOR THAT? ARE YOU CRAZY?!
Too much of a hijack…?

Hello Cajun: No intent in awakening old dogs but if I was going to reply accurately to Friday's comment then I would need to read the thread which inspired it. If you'd rather people not respond at all then that's ok by me. I understand.
Cheers,
