Looks to be twill to me as well. It appears to have twill lines anyhow.
Bear in mind I'm about as far from what one could call an expert as you can get. 
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have.
