I got a green laser from dealextreme.com in Hong Kong for about $25 with free shipping, they are awesome. I'm spending the week in Kauai, Hawaii and the night sky is amazing, I brought my laser with me and it has been fun to point out the stars & planets to my family. I have always been an astronomy enthusiast, our wedding was under the dome at the Minneapolis Planetarium (in my kilt) and then we did a private planetarium show for our guests. There was a photo of us printed in Sky & Telescope magazine.
Tree trimmers are starting to use the green lasers to show customers what branches they intend to prune.

This has all been very interesting....but I'm sort of looking at the warnings that tell you not to keep these little guys turned on for any long period of time...something like "do not keep power on for more than 100 seconds without at least a 10 second rest period". Also love the fact that they can pop a balloon or light a match at some little distance...can light sabres be a reality soon?
