Pleats are all sewn down (I topstitched 'em on the machine, this is a knockaround kilt) , I put some interfacing inside the over-apron instead of hair canvas, and the hang-free liner a la Stillwater kilts just went on.
I strapped it on me with a belt, looked in the full-length mirror and dang but if it doesn't look pretty good.
Left to do...waistband, the usual buckle/strap on the right...button closure on the left - inside and two sporran straps.

I'm wearing it, today. OK, so it's safety- pinned on me since I ran out of time to do the buckle/straps...and the belt loops aren't on, yet though the straps themselves are made.
And I need to adjust the "hem" at the under-apron pleat. But aside from that, it's done!
I think I'm going to do "regular" belt loops on this just for something different, instead of the long "sporran loops".
I'll see if I can get pics, today.

I look foward to your posts to see all of your creations. Im wondering why the interfacing for the apron instead of the hair canvas? Is this due to it being a "knock around" kilt?
Ok its been 20 minutes I still cant see any pics?

I put in interfacing 'cause I'd run out of hair canvas.
Oh, stop laughing!!!
but that's the reason, honest. It's a fair to middlin' success. Actual heavy canvas would be better as a hair canvas replacement, interfacing is a bit stiff.
Remember, no two of my kilts are the same, I'm always experimenting with something.

One of the reasons I enjoy seeing your projects so much.

That is a really nice kilt - no one would ever guess that it was from something left over from another project.
The colours in the tartan are subtle, but very distinguished looking.
Looking at your proportions, though, I think that if you wore the kilt a little higher, with more rise, it would be more flattering. I think it would only need an inch or so but would give you a more balanced look.
I do have a bit of a talent for creating a flattering fit and look - so I hope you don't mind the suggestion.
