Is the head of your sporran taxidermyed, or just flat? It's a little hard to tell from the picture.

No, it's flat. I do plan to build up the head, complete with eyes. Haven't got to it yet.

Hey that's super looking David, congratulations on it!

And that sporran, I thought after seeing McMurdo wear his skunk sporran everywhere I would not want one, but seing one with the actual face as well changed my mind.

I'll head to eBay and hunt for one.

    Good job!

Thanks to Hector for the inspiration to sew a military box pleat kilt. The kilt is machine sewed except for the fell, which I did by hand. This MacEwan tartan was once my belted plaide, but I got some nice MacGilivray tartan for my belted plaid. So, I thought I would try my hand at a military box pleat.

    The pleat shots.

My next attempt will be with 20 oz wool.
Very nice belt by the way! Where'd you get it?

Thanks Meinfs! That's the second positive comment regarding my belt. I got it off ebay. Not sure of the seller, as I am at work now and the proxy server won't let me login to ebay. I will have to check later and get back to you. When I got this belt, she had another that I really liked. I went back to buy it later and she didn't have any items for sale.
