Ok, here it is fellas.
Here's the "corporate" photo

And here's me. A friend hastily took the photo, so please excuse the quality.

I'm wearing a blue shirt, black ribbed sweater, black SWK sporran, SWK MacRae ancient hunting kilt, Steve Ashton's heritage gray hose (my favorite!), tartan flashes, and black buckle shoes.
There. Now are you happy?!?
...cause I am!

It also came with matching tartan flashes, which I love. .
I just ordered the MacRae today, but I noticed the coarser material when I got my Black Watch heavyweight a few months back. I like the feel of the coarser material. It seems heavier to me. I think that Black Watch I got is real close to 16 oz.
What a great job Jerry does.

Looks great! Very colorful even in the subdued lighting. Mine should be here tomorrow...
If you don't mind my asking, how much were the Heritage hose? I'm stocking up right now, but I'm not quite ready to spring big bucks for a pair of socks (Lewis Hose). It looks like you have big calves. I have 18" calves so nice stretchy tops are essential.

I think I bought them for $60 a few years ago, but Steve said something about a new supplier, so they may be different now. It's best to call him up and see.

Ok, now for the color corrections.
In my photos above the shirt is brown (Cabela’s Worsterlon II); the hose are grey-green (Sock Dreams cotton patterned).
The blue in the tartan is darker or more muted than it photographs – more of a medium steel blue.
The orange-red lines are more distinct.
For the feel of the fabric I compare to my other SWK Heavyweights. The MacRae is rougher than my Black Watch. And about the same as my Green Shadow and Weathered Lamont. My (irregular)Saffron Shadow feels to be of a lighter weight.
