Great photos. Thanks so much for posting them!
If you have any images of Castle Invergarry, I'd love to see them. I've searched for years for decent shots, but really found none that were really good. After visiting the site, I now see why. It's nearly impossible to get to a decent vantage point for a photo (or an attack, I suppose... ). We were there in a pouring rain, so the photos I got were not so hot (the scaffolding and chain link fence didn't help either!). Now that the restoration work has been completed I was hoping that some new images would start showing up, but I've not seen any yet. At the time I thought that a great spot would be with a long lens from across Loch Oich, but I had neither the lens nor the time.
Anyway, thanks for the photos. You have an excellent eye.

The wooden boats name is Iroko, she had been present at the anual wooden ships regatta weekend at Crinan, sailed from there for a weeks tour of the islands and as luck would have it arrived back at Crinan as I was there with my camera, I took a couple of photo's that I suspected would turn out to be good, when the boat was moored up in Crinal canals sea lock basin, I approached the owners, lovely people they where, even invited us aboard for a drink, I told them I had taken some photo's and they where keen for me to email them to them as they only had photo's of their boat without them aboard and wanted some with them actually sailing it, they where very pleased with the result, and have promised next year when they pass through the canal to stop of at our lock keepers cottage for a drink, looking forward to seeing them again.

Invergarry Castle is about 3 hours up the road from me, however when the right weather conditions prevail and my days off coincide, rest assured I will make a trip up there and see what I can do for you.
Tartan Hiker................. by chance have you seen this photo archive http://special.st-andrews.ac.uk/sasp...ergarry+castle
