i've often heard that at Nicholson's in downtown Cincinnati, you can get a free pint for wearing a kilt. but i haven't been there yet, so as far as i know it's just a rumor.

Excellent, another fine example of the power of the kilt.
I made a conscious decision four years ago to stop drinking alcohol on the basis that I was drinking more than was good for me and I must have already drank my lifetime ration of the stuff, but I heartily condone those who are able to go out and enjoy it in moderation.

Sounds like Paradise on earth.
I so strongly favor moderation that I sometimes have a moderate number of drinks twice in the same night!

The only time I can recall my father's being speechless during one of our conversations about my behavior was when he found me crawling up the stairs at 2:20 on a Sunday morning. He accused me of immoderate behavior, to which I replied, (speaking very carefully in order to be coherent) "I am more moderate than you, for I practice even moderation moderately."
I'm still not sure whether he was more impressed by that reasoning or by my speaking coherently when I could not stand, but He let me sleep in until nearly 1:00 PM.

I'll worm it out of him next kilt night. I'm thinking I need to check that place out too. Of course, from some of what he said, I have a few thoughts as to which bar it was.
