I wonder how it would look with a predominantly deep red and dark green tartan?

Just received my order for a Large. First off- color is beautiful- kind of a gray/green. I could see right away that it would go well with my Mitchell tartan. But sadly- toooo small. I wear 42-44R, this was marked 52 (I'm guess Swiss sizing) and sent as a large, but folks, I could only get the botton two buttons closed, and I know I have not added much weight of late. So back in the bag for a return. Sorry no pics. But my, the color is nice. I also checked to see if they had xl, but those must be gone; checked the sizing chart- everything done by the book. So sad. But the price was right, caveat emptor!

Yep, VERY small. Mine is a large also, and marked as a "50", whatever that means. I'm typically a 40 (I think) and the jacket will button, but it is tight. Very nice jacket, though.

    Dang,

Now I'm feeling bad about posting the link. I know its messy in the world of International surplus but you'd think Sportsman's Choice would take the time for accurate measurements and save all the return hassles....

    Ron, NO APOLOGIES PLEASE !!!

From the info, it seems thatt is "Sportsman Choice's PROB. At this time we have 2 LARGE, but different sizes (50 & 52 euro) that they are shipping.

I called before I ordered & the sizes I posted were what they said.

We will see what I get.

Yep, same thing. Size 50 and not a typical large. It is a beautiful jacket.

Don't sweat it, Ron. The cost alone was worth the jump. I'm pretty sure this one will fit my son who wears a 36R. So now I have one less birthday present to buy. Aprt from the size issue it looks to be a very fine jacket. and for the saavy seller, ebay might be the place to go.
