Thank you Bob! Yes, it's carved. The very pretty lady at the store (Tandy) was truly helpful as she supervised my efforts. That's the best situation, when you have an experienced leathercrafter around to ask questions to.

Are you wanting to go there because I said there's a very pretty lady that works there? ![Laughing](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Well done, Meinfs.
I always make a practice design on a scrap of leather before I try a new design on a sporran. Helps to determine what you want to change on the important item cause there is little chance to correct a design after you carve or stamp it.
Look forward to seeing your next piece.

That's a wonderful job, especially for your first attempt. I myself did quite a lot of leather work when I was younger. I'm looking to get back into it. This spring my Lads and I are going to start by making a few targes, after that who knows, sporrans, baldrics, sheaths, belts etc........ Again great job !

Thank you much Tom. Your work is wonderful and inspiring.
That is very good advice. I was told not to double-stamp to try to correct anything. Test twice and stamp once.
