All that with nothing but Barb's book and a few assists here from the forum? On your first attempt? Amazing! Almost makes me imagine I could sew, too...

Rex.

And congratulations to Barb for her wonderful book!
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Eat something
FYI It's my natural build. I can eat all I want + weight training 3X a week and don't go over 185 at 6'6" I can't do much about my genetic programming. My father, at 62, still fits into his Navy uniform from his late 20's. It's both a blessing and a curse. The good news is that I probably won't need to ever make alterations to my kilt. The bad news is that I am destined to be forever "skinny".
Yes, all I needed was "The Book" and a little help from this forum and a LOT of time/patience/persistance. Thanks to all who helped. The book is very clear and thorough. It was obviously written by a scientist

Very good job, especially as it is your first time out. Your pleat shot is a real keeper as it clearly shows the way that a kilt ought to fit.
Well done, ssir.
