Good, so it's clear. Don't, it's a no-no... Alright, I'll start saving more money for hoses.
Now, can sombody recommend colors to go with Modern Lindsay??

In my opinion, colors close to those seemed to look fine. Black goes with everything, Navy is similar. Cream could also work depending on the situations.

I wear dark green rugby/soccer socks to throw in at the Games. However, aside from that, I don't wear them....Well, I lied. Sometimes I roll them down and wear them with boots. But I don't wear them pulled up.

Well, I'll be the divergent one on the colors and say I think the kelly green and royal blue look bad, real bad. They have nothing to do with the colors in the kilt and are too bright, to my eyes. The Burgundy is a very good match, but I'd go with more subdued tones if you wear green or blue.

    I'll second that motion!

As has been said before, too sheer to work.. The colors, however, the colors work very well. If you have an aversion to kilt hose, see if you can score some over-the-calf hiking socks in some obnoxious colors. I've seen them with my own eyes, but they are rare.

    But, look at this:

That might be up your alley.

IMHO other than the dark red/burgundy (which looks good) the other colors are too primary.
I'll disagree with the "spend-up" recommendations. Depending on the tartan, those type of hose can be attractive and sufficient.

The bright colors are too much. Yes the rugby socks are too thin. Just reiterating what others have said.
