Well, I wore my kilt out and about on Tuesday for the first time since switching to the blanket pin.
It did seem to do better than the other pins I was using. For example it didn't seem to get in the way or get caught on anything, including my hand when smooting over my apron after sitting down. That seems to be because the ends are rounded.
Anyway, it worked out fine.

It's kind of sharp, but not extremely sharp.
Anyway, it worked out fine, and I guess that is what I will be using for the kilt pin from now on.
