I just recieved a 5 yd. saffron kilt from Scotweb just over a week ago. It has quickly become a favorite to wear as it is very comfortable and wears well. A great wool kilt custom made, you can get your choice of handsewn, machine, or a combination for well under $200 with free shipping (economy). It think it's a great deal for the price!

SWK Heavyweight Wool Saffron
Not meaning to hijack Dan's thread, but I've been waiting for an opportunity to wear the SWK Heavyweight Wool Saffron I got from SWK a couple of years ago. Recently I had a chance to get a package deal from NorCalPiper that included a SWK acrylic saffron kilt, a piper's plaid in Saffron, and a pair of hand made wool hose.
The Acrylic Saffron has gone on to another member, but below is a picture I took after Church today. I know it is too early in the day for the Argyll jacket, but I like the look of Saffon and Black. Got several compliments on the outfit. My wife thinks the hose look great. They are unique, but I knew that before I bought the package.
I took one picture of the piper's plaid over my shoulder as shown in J. Charles Thompson's book "So You're Going to Wear the Kilt". But I don't like the way it looks with the black argyll, so I've not attached it.
So here's the pic, taken in front of one of the Forsythia bushes bordering our yard. Spring at Last!

Also attached is a pic of the Saffron Kilt with a Lovat Green Argyll jacket, more appropriate for day wear.

Finally,
Best wishes to Dan and his bride-to-be.
Tom
