If I remember correctly, he will do custom lengths. I'm not sure if there is a charge, but the biggest difference is going to be the shipping speed. If you buy something that he has in stock, you will receive it in approximately 38 minutes. With a custom length, this will not be so. I have 2 Stillwaters, and love them.

his site outlines that custom lengths are available, but may take 1-3 months to arrive. Says nothing about additional cost.

Just throwing this out there. The belt buckle that I mentioned I was waiting on... within minutes of posting, I got an e-mail from Jerry that he has them in stock now... Actually he has one less since I placed my order within minutes of getting his e-mail. Wonder if it will arrive in the mail today!

They are great for the price, but not the same as made to measure. I have to wear them a bit higher than most kilts, but not as high as a What Price Glory military reproduction kilt.

I have a couple of them, and they are superb value for money. Short of buying a surplus, ex MOD kilt or "steal of a deal" used civilian kilt (if you can find one for that money in your approximate size), they are the best kilt for that price range out there. I'd take one of these any day over the poly kilts available, and they pass quite convincingly for a proper tank.

The fit and hang of the kilt can be greatly improved by cutting out, backing, and sewing down the kidney area of the pleats in the manner of a traditional, bespoke kilt. I've done this to my Stillwater NZ wool kilts to great effect.

Stillwater kilts fit me perfectly, so for me, it's an off the rack custom made kilt. They fit just like my custom made ones do.

At 2 Metres + you need at a minimum at 27" length kilt. 28" + might be better in a Stillwater. I am 1 Metre 85 and the 24" just works for me. I would not want to wear anything shorter.

    just my tuppence.

I emailed him tonight after looking on his site. The kilt I wanted, in the size I wanted was not in stock.. In the matter of minutes he emailed me back said one just came in and he listed for me... Which I bought with a new Marines brass buckle. As fast as he is.... I bet it's in by the time I go to bed LOL
