That was in fact a very helpful review! Thank you! I had considered getting one or 2, but I don't really like the thrifty's or the material, but for the price, the eoconomies sound perfect. I may have to get myself a black one!

okay
I know this is an old thread, but not dead. I figured I would add my review of the Economy so there are two reviews for anyone out there interested...
This is my SWK Economy, Irish National, Size 38 (Went up a size, these size small, I am a 37.5 and this 38 is t i g h t...)
As you can see, these have a "traditional" selvedge, and by traditional they must mean ancient, because this is the ugliest selvedge I have ever seen... It should be called "The jagged wave edge..."

Also I have only worn it once, and it is already piloling and has many loose threads... Also the third strap, even on its lossest setting, is tight, maybe I just have big hips

The pleats as shown, are 3" deep, and are sewn down at the hips. The belt loops match up with the sett, which suprised me. after shipment it was very wrinkled so I hung it in the shower and in the closet for a week so they could hang out, like my PV kilts do, but they do not hang out...Still wrinkled as when shipped, and continued to wrikle as the day went on...

The material is very very lightweight, my wife's car exaust lifted it as I fueled, and the fabric is also very hot and not uncomfortable, but not the most comfortable... Also the sett seems to wave when worn as you can see here...Maybe its human error?

it looks fine flat...

continued...

Dan, is it possible you have the outer apron pulled and buckled too tight?
If I buckle the outer apron of my SWK heavyweight to the same belt notch as the inner apron, it pulls into a "wave" the same way yours appears in the photos. I have to leave the outer apron an extra notch looser to keep it from stretching.
