Hello All,
Just have arrived back in the Highlands of Norfolk after the adventure of the Preston Kilt Night. It was quite late when we were finally removed from the pub so John called his lovely wife (She of the Australian Tartan kilt), to come and drive us home. Within minutes she arrived, and whisked us away to our destinations. I was staying in an hotel locally, so I was first out. When I got up to my room, I checked the time - 01:30. No one can say that we didn't have a proper Kilt Night.
I took some pictures as well. Very much the same as the others. Aren't the self timers on these digital cameras fun! Press the button; wait for the countdown; and then you can never tell exactly when the picture is going to be taken. I always find that I end up looking as if I have been hit on the back of the head with a wet kipper.
Anyway here they are:
Self timer - only got back to my seat in time.

Just spotted the number of drinks on the table - they give you fresh glasses every time you buy a drink.

Taken by one of the locals at the gig. We had to get him to stop dancing long enough to take the picture.

Have not yet heard from Phil, but I am sure that he has survived as well or badly as the rest of us.
Regards
Chas

This is where the ancient market used to set up before the Victorians built the lovely covered outdoor market place around the corner and the 1960's planners build the ghastly indoor market building that's next to it... The Flag Market isn't used as a market place anymore but it does get an ice rink plonked on it over Christmas and there is a bloke sells baked potatoes from a mobile oven year round but I don't suppose that counts. The Black Horse is about 50 meters away and directly behind where the photographer would be standing in this photo. Serves some of the best beer in town!

Good point. I forgot to mention that. Two firsts in one night. We'll definately have to have more meets.

Had a really good time last night, as English Bloke said we all started to get talking very easily and naturally
Based on what a good time we all had I'm sure we'll have more of these meetings! When we do I shall be sure to wear my Black Country kilt - have to say though I was very chuffed with the positive comments my Halesowen one got!
It was great meeting you guys and a big thank you to Chas and Alex for travelling so far to be with us
