Hiya folks,
Great to hear that a gathering is being put together. I have been to the Palm Desert Tilted Kilt on several occassions since it opened and have also talked to the manager. In fact, when I spoke to the manager the first time about a kilt night, that is when I met John (rollerboy 1979). Just as John has said, he was very cool about having a regular kilt night there.
Unfortunately, my schedule has changed quite a bit with the promotion and new position. I am on rotating shifts and currently manning the 6pm shift with sunday / monday off. Since I'm the junior guy, I get to cover the saturday shift. I would enjoy being there with everyone, but doesn't sound like it'll be this time around.
I'm on this shift for another 4 months, but after that it shouldn't be a problem.
Hope you all have a great time, have a pint in my absence.

Lee,
It is actually tomorrow night, Saturday, June 6 at about 5:00p. Since it's the 65th anniversary of the D-Day invasion, we'll have to hoist a pint to all the brave men and women who died on that day in the cause of freedom.
Cheers!
John

Palm desert......here we come!
Okay Hooligans!
I've spoken to Leroy, the proprietor of The Tilted Kilt, and he's going to extend us a courtesy on Saturday night.
He's going to give us our first beers at 1/2 off, and comp a couple orders of nachos for us. Not bad, eh?
He's looking forward to meeting us and making this a regular event. I encourage each of you to bring a friend...........let's show Leroy that we can really do some good for his kilt-friendly establishment. For those of you who have never been to The Tilted Kilt, it's akin to a Scottish "Hooters"! Yes, the eye candy is quite dandy.
See you in SCHool!
