You know, if it showed, I'd bother, but I can't see as it really matters much here, right?

Isn't that a great word? It just means stitching, but I love how it sounds.

Very nicely done! Panache is a lucky man to have such a supportive wife. In my house, I do all of the sewing...and knitting...and wearing of the kilts. Maybe my wife will mow the yard this weekend for me.... =)

Well done M'lady - and nice fingernail polish too!

It does look a lot better, or is it the guy wearing that looks better? By the way, nice fingernail polish too.

Thanks Panache and FHCAG. However, even though I own Barb's book, I'm apprehensive about basting and terrified of steeking--it must involve the loss of one's fingertips...
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.

Not the loss of fingertips, just the piercing of said appendages!

My acrylics really need repressed. I think the main issue for me is I am daunted by the basting, I am not really that scared of the ironing, just the sewing.

I made up my mind to baste and press my kilt today, and realized my wife too my table that I use if I need to sew something. Arg.
