Looking at kegerators available at the beverage factory you may want to buy a new one. By the time you buy an old refrigerator and conversion kit you'll be approaching the cost of a new model.

Just an observation on kegerators. My brother-in-law put one in his man cave many moons ago. It seemed like a great idea at the time. The problem was we liked to drink a variety of beer. Once the keg was put in we were stuck with one type of beer until it was empty. With a full kegerator in house it was impossible for him to justify buying the odd six pack of different beer. So, despite having a good IPA on tap at his house, we got really sick of the same beer all the time. Now, if you are a one type of beer person that wouldn't be a problem. But another option would be to install two taps in your kegerator and buy smaller amounts of two different beers. That way you have a choice.

Remember shipping costs, in that equation. Pieces can be had cheaper than buying a whole conversion kit. I have a kegerator that I built for my homebrew. Got the CO2 tank from the welding shop for a song, regulator, shanks and taps on ebay, the faucets are the most expensive no matter where you get them. The whole conversion (with a brand new dorm sized fridge) was around $300
