For certain reasons, I have to wear my kilt at mid-knee to lower-knee. I try to go for mid-knee. However, I will change the hose according to your suggestion. Thanks for your help.

I don't think it's just the camera angle - if a camera held at eye level can't see any knee, neither can any other observer you encounter. Try hiking the kilt a smidge so that there's a bit of tartan to be seen above the belt. And I think your hose could stand a slightly wider cuff - pull the opening down to just below the widest part of your calf instead of just above it where you have it now, so that the cuff covers your calf and not the top of your shins.
A few minor adjustments and you're good to go - wear what you have, and wear it with pride and confidence, and you'll look like a million bucks!
Regards,
Rex.

I like the look. Yes, the hose could be a lighter color, but I still think you look good for church. Go with it.

Personally, I would do the following:
- change hose to a cream, oatmeal, or a blue or green that complements your tartan
- change ties to a blue or green that complements the tartan
- if you've already gone with blue or green hose, match the tie to the hose
- untuck the tie and use a tiepin or tack as necessary
As for the shirt sleeves - I've seen enough well-dressed men in short-sleeves and ties that your shirt looks fine to me.

I think you look absolutely smashing! No need to change a thing by my book. If you want to vary the look for future events (every Sunday, right?) you can start stocking up on hose and ties in other colours. I personally like having hose and tie either the same colour or complementary to eachother. And there are so many different shades to choose from that would match your kilt!

Blue hose would look really good... or even green to match the tartan. But the outfits nice!

I think it looks great as is. I would suggest as others have to ensure the tie is never tucked into the kilt. I also understand the need for the short sleeve dress shirt but have never liked the look of them myself. As to the hose what you have are fine though to brighten it up a wee bit I'd suggest lovat blue hose. You can get an inexpensive pair here.

Almost exactly what I was going to say. Great look with a couple of minor adjustments. Wear your kilt with pride and confidence and you will be fine.
