If you're looking for wool, silk, or cotton tapes, braids, and ribbons, I can recommend the Wooded Hamlet. I've bought silk ribbon from them before for some of my reenactment projects (as it seems that nobody in the US carries anything but synthetic trims anymore). You members in Europe probably have better access to this type of stuff at local shops, etc...but I figured I'd offer my endorsement anyways.

Unfortunately that doesn't fix your situation right now. There is probably a few alternate methods of tying them which should achieve a satisfactory look. I'll experiment on my own and let you know!
