Well I hope the police are able to use the blood and whatever else to find the bums.

I always laugh anymore at crooks stealing a television...you can go buy one cheaper than the cost of a lawyer and jail time when you get caught.

Yes, please have the police retain a blood sample for DNA crossmatching. It may come in handy some time in the future.

I'll echo what Jamie wrote. Glad nobody was hurt. It is a terrible feeling to have, I know it myself. And I am sorry to hear when it happens to anyone.
    Regards,

Bugga...dirty wee petty thieves, hate them.

    Sorry to hear that.

We had this thing in the Navy, where thieves who had been caught could be identified quickly..not going into it, but it involves a hatch door and their hand.

On the bright side, stuff ultimately doesn't matter and stuff can always be replaced.
I have a few items that are family heirlooms, and as long as they are okay, I couldnt care about any of the other stuff.

The safe, empty, weighs just under 1000 pounds. They tried to pry it open with, progressively, a shower curtain rod, a fireplace poker, and a commando knife.

There is not only the loss of items, but many people feel strongly that their privacy was invaded. My late mother never felt safe in her own home again, after she learned that thieves had entered repeatedly, due to having taken her spare keys without her knowledge.

I am very sorry to hear of this, it must leave a nasty taste in the mouth. There nothing else polite, that I can add.
