Looking good! "Print-Artists?" As in poster art, printing in general, or... ? Just curious.

edit: Just went to the SNAP site. Cool!

It is a cool place. The University of Alberta has one of the best print-making programs in the world, and many of their alumni continue to work at SNAP, but the place also attracts some fine artists to Edmonton, in and of itself. There were some really lovely (interesting, pretty, disturbing, fascinating) pieces going cheap yesterday evening! But I only bought one. And some cards. And the annual fundraising calendar (which included work done by a friend of mine who only recently moved here).

Being Chair of a large Arts department meant that I got to hang around with some really fine artists - from print-makers to poets to theatre-practitioners - over the past few years. I've gained some great connections as well as great friends.

And the artists all seem thrilled when I show up to things kilted, whereas other colleagues mostly just look mystified or bemused.
