I know your decision's already made, but just to let you know that you have another potential buyer. I may never use it in anger, but would love to have it on my bookshelf nevertheless.

I'm twenty-three, and five feet nine, I'll go and be a sodger!

Josh,
How goes the book writing? I actually have a horse tail and was thinking of e-mailing you for some tips on making a sporran, but if a book is in the works, I can wait a short while. March is on the way soon.

"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.

Hi guys-
I thought about this project, and at this point my business is out the roof. Doing a proper TAoKM style manual will be impossible. I have a pretty basic horse hair sporran that I'm starting on Monday. I'm going to document and post instructions on another forum that your welcome to observe. This is not a forum that is banned from being mentioned on this one, so I don't think I'm breaking the rules by posting the address. It will be in the DIY section and you can foloow along as I go. Here's the link-Its in the DIY section.

Just a minor aside -- I reread the rules a couple of days ago and didn't read anything in the newly updated rules about a ban on mentioning other forums. Unless I am missing something, seems like this rule was done away with....

here you go Matt, the rule is still there, in FAQ
As the owners of the other sites actively encourage these actions, and because some of these people are still attempting to disrupt X Marks, it is our policy that no mention of, link or referral to (including referral through a third party), advertisement or promotion of, or recruitment for, the forums known as “The Brotherhood of the Kilt” or it’s affiliated site, “Clan Ootland” will be allowed on X Marks.
