The crystals cause me much grief. As a lad working in the mine there were tons and tons of crystals. Saved a few for decoration. But now, walk in to a new age store in Sedona and check the crystal prices and I kick myself. Heck, the mine owners could have made a LOT of money mining the crystals as well as the gold and silver. The mine is still there, but now closed as an environmental hazard. Don't know if the government would let folks in to mine the crystals.

The petroglyph panel is more than just ancient art. It also has a solar calendar that marks the solstice, planting times, et.al. Pretty cool guys them ancients.

    Beauty Ron.

For the 20 months we lived in Phoenix we always took visitors to Sedona, and went there ourselves several times a year. As a matter of fact it was the last place we visited in Arizona before we left on our move to Louisville. Haven't had a chance to go back in the year and a half since. Thanks for the "visit"--memories pouring back. Never kilted there though.
