There is a big forum for rennies, renaissancefestival.com , or R/F.com if you will, every year the members of R/F.com vote on a faire to have an annual meeting called "RenDezvous". This year's will be at Scarby.
Here's a link to the "RenDezvous" discussion on R/F.com;

Definately at Irish Fest, Scottish fest in Arlington. We'll see about the rest. San Antonio sounds fun.

My wife and I will be at both of those shows as vendors, so come on by and see us! (I'll understandably be tied down to my post and unable to wander about much.)
So, come by the SingleTree tent! We're in the Automotive West exhibit hall at the North Texas Irish Festival and in Crown Meadow at Scarby.
See you all there!

Welcome!
Hi, Texasred, and welcome to the Rabble! (If no one has extended that welcome already elsewhere. And if they have...well, welcome again!) Stop by the SingleTree tent at NTIF and introduce yourself! Have fun with your research into your family history; is there a genealogical society in Dallas? (I can't imagine that there wouldn't be....) I found all sorts of interesting things when I started my own research, and I haven't uncovered a quarter of what's back there. Cheers! ~Ken

Looks like I'll be around Saturday. Probably most of the day. I'll be in a Navy Sport Kilt and combat boots. My wife in an All Ireland Sport Kilt and orange tights.
