I just can't get it through my head that a solid-color kilt would suit me. It could lead to dancing.

The cold steel manufactured version above would be low maintenance and all, but ye cannot beat the real thing! Ebay has many vendors in the North of Ireland and the Republic that would provide you a good quality, natural, Shillelagh/Bata. Bidding can get a wee bit competitive though....'Ballymaglin' is a quality vendor as is '8181stewart'.

Yes! I love the sporran nation stuff, but I'm still working up the guts to pay that much!
I'll hopefully get pics asap... and I'm planning to wear it out and about with thick black hose sort of pushed down the leg and solid black Nike 'boot' hi-tops. I'll see when I'm putting it all on, though!

I own the black shadow-tartan kilt and love it for casual wear. I am in deep, deep discussion with myself about getting the saffron or green shadow tartan kilt from SWK. I might go with the green and get a saffron tank with a green jacket and caubeen to finish out the look.

Damn it, now I want more kilts. And jackets. And headwear. And hose...

I'll never be able to retire at this rate, but when I do, I'll look AMAZING!
