If you like RG, then you'll probably like Corner Gas and Little Mosque on the Prairie.

And, you Americans shouldn't be too embarrassed about not being Canadian and finding RG funny. After all, you've been the object of a Canadianization conspiracy for years. We've been sending our funniest people south for your benefit. Your sense of humour is currently 60% Canadian. Soon you'll all be laughing at maple syrup jokes and wearing plaid full-time. Bob and Doug was just the beginning......

Anyway, if we don't get you, the BBC will, muahahahahah!

Speaking of the BBC, is (or was) The Red Green Show (ever) seen in the UK? Can someone tell me?

We like YOUR stuff- I remember the street demonstrations in Montreal when it looked like the CBC had cancelled Monty Python back in the early days! Hundreds of people doing Funny Walks!

The last time my one brother grew a beard, I threw a red-and-blue plaid shirt on him and took a picture. Then I showed him that picture next to one of Red Green.

He hasn't grown a beard since.

Dixiecat - I haven't seen Corner Gas, but I occasionally catch Little Mosque on CBC.

One of my favorite Native actors had a reoccuring role on Red Green, Graham Green, he was the explosives expert... You might know Graham from his role as Kicking Bird on "Dances with Wolves".

From here and other enquiries, it doesn't seem that the RG Show ever aired in the UK. Wonder what the British would have made of it....

I don't think it would've done overly well. I find the British and Canadian senses of humour differ quite substantially. Although I find parts of Red green funny I've never laughed out loud.
