    No. If you're really set on Argyll hose do this:

    Primary Color #1- Green
    Primary Color #2- Black
    Secondary Color #1-Red
    Secondary Color #2-Red

    The result will be green and black diced hose with overstripes of red through every diamond. This is similar to the way that the Royal Highland Fusiliers Pipers hose is done- They have only red and green in their tartan, but the pattern employed is an Argyll one.     What David said. You can get a perfectly nice pair of Argyle hose with three colors, as my photos show.

    I have a similar tartan, wide green and blue and narrow black and purple. I just got my first pair of argyle topped hose, green with the argyle being wide green and blue and narrow black. They look great with the tartan. I am looking for purple flashes to complete the look.
