Perhaps it will need to just get locked as this could get real ugly!

In my defense, I started this with intentions of discussion on the potential tartan of the University of Alabama.

I'll be able to tell y'all the winner by Friday or so.

The University of Tennessee went through a similar process several years ago to establish an official tartan. But I don't think there was an open voting process. I've only seen the tartan produced in small items such as scarves and ties. I doubt I would ever have a kilt made for it.

You never know...here in St Charles, MO at our very own Thistle and Clover, they have hanging on the racks the Mizzou kilts!

    Yeah...but that tartan isn't orange!

    Hey I resemble that remark!

And really number 12 and 13 didn't have any impact on that botched snap.

Being a South Carolina native, alumnus and wearer of the Carolina Tartan,I resemble ALL of that.

I kinda favor the number two. It's different and subdued. Not being orange is a plus as well!

Those three were all great designs (probably why they were the finalists, eh?)

I like the third the best, though

To me, the 2nd one looks like the Confederate Memorial (hear the can of worms opening?).

Oh lord. Let's not even go there. Things like that are still touchy subjects on campus.

Also, I didn't really like #2 because of the green in it. It would be good if maybe we had a UA tartan and maybe a UA dress tartan? But I didn't really like the green. It was supposed to symbolize the quad, which is a neat way of interpreting the Campus, taking it out of sports and just looking at the campus and the students themselves, but I don't see many people looking that deeply into it, thus making it a difficult one to pick. But who knows, I heard it was in a close second early that morning before the polling crashed so it could possibly be the winner.
