i got the bug when i was at TAG Fall Cave In near cloudland canyon state park for a cavers weekend (kind of like burning man but with cavers) a few people had "real" kilts and a few had utilikilts... well i did some research and found a site with plans to make one and the wife got to sewing then i found this site so after lurking for a bit i finally said screw it and got a thrifty kilt from SWK and been loving it ever since.

There are definitely kilt deals to be had and this is the place to learn of them.

What a sad tale of a damp kilt! But it was well told, and I am sure your son is already a convert to kilt-wearing (not to mention the attention he got from the neighbour lass!).
I look forward to seeing you in your new kilt, Fnord, whatever it is and whenever it arrives!
I am only getting my first non-military kilt next year. I can’t bear the jones!
    Regards,
    Mike

I love it when the bug is catching on. What a way to go.

    cool

My first real intro to kilts as day wear was from Robert Heinlein's novels [the novels with Lazarus Long]. Ren Faires gave me an excuse to try them for myself and i'm getting ready to go kilted full time [when funds allow].
