An update from Longhuntr

Fair winds and following seas. You'll find that the trees in Cal. mostly grow straight up unlike the trees in Ft. Drum. There's a reason, as you well know. The only thing I remember about the place is that all the trees lean AWAY from the lake, and it can be colder than blitzie, even in the summer.

Enjoy your trip with the family and Christmas in your new home. We shall enjoy hearing of your new adventures. too bad you aren't swinging through Atlanta on your way.

Have a safe and pleasant trip Longhuntr, the rabble will be awaiting your arrival here in sunny California. I don't remember where you will be stationed, but there is going to be a Xmarks of Northern California Burns Night near Santa Cruz in January. Hopefully you will be able to attend!
