It was so nice of so many of you to welcome me to the forum. I don't do much of this sort of thing, so forgive me if I make a few blunders. I took the advice of emailing Barbara Tewksbury directly to find out about any proposed Camp dates. I hope to hear back from her soon.

Welcome from Central Massachusetts. Get the Tewksbury book. Look around here. You will find that people have used it and have made kilts. What a fine mother you are to undertake this!!!

My brother, Steve, is the owner of this forum, and a gifted, self taught tailor.
He would be another excellent contact for your project. You can reach him through the Freedom Kilts page or through the DIY section. He has a great video about how to measure for a kilt. I look forward to seeing pictures of the kilt and the prom dresses. Nancy

I will be sure to post pictures of Mark in his kilt and his friends in their prom dresses. He is very excited about the event and has planned a grand entrance, complete with a fog machine and limo! The girls' Moms are on board with the idea, too, so it should be a hoot. If I can get into a class, I will splurge on a genuine Hay tartan. I think there may be one here in So. Cal. this spring!
