Hi Again highland mafia it is a naill chanter that came with my silver and ivory naills .
I don't know much about strathmore chanters.
However the man who makes them murry henderson's daughter won a big championship not to long ago. I assume she was playing one of her dad's chanters but i'm not 100 percent on that.

Very Nice! Gordon Walker and John D. Burgess would be proud of you- a piper AND a snazzy dresser! It's clear that you've made really great choices on individual items so that the entire outfit looks "bespoke". I think the red waistcoat really sets it off well. Where did you purchase your regulation doublet?
Nice choice on the dirk/dirk belt/waistplate. As a general rule I don't care for dirks with evening dress, but it looks just right with this outfit, particularly since you're piping.
The only other suggestion is that as time goes on and you save your pennies, consider a pair of bar-buckle brogues or evening slippers with vintage buckles. That's one additional way to personalize your evening dress.
Thanks for all the kind words.
David ,
I too usually don't wear a dirk unless only with this outfit.
I also don't like bowties,
My friend keeps telling me to get the buckles for the brogues but i just can't bring myself to wear them I really don't like them.
I had my reg dub made by hector russell I think it was a while ago.
Thanks I'll be posting some pics of my daywear attire as well i'd like some feed back on to.
