Having heard some of the stories about how harley protects its licensing rights, i have to wonder how much they would be charging to let you use it...
Yes, I would be interested in 3 yards, (double wide i imagine)
This looked familiar to me. I went to my closet and found a cotton flannel shirt that matches this tartan. I bought it at the Harley dealer a few years back and it is indeed an official liscensed product. I'd thought it was a "fashion plaid" not knowing that it had been made a "registered tartan" The repeat is only 2.5 inches.
I've worn on-tartan plaid shirts with solid colour kilts before. Too bad Utilikilts does not still offer their motorcycle leather model to wear with this one.
As a side note for those who do not ride motorcycles. Harley-Davidson had a high profile crack-down on the use of their copy-right-able material a few decades ago. Some "questionable" language/image products were on the market back then not produced by the company but with company logos. Harley was looking to "clean up" their image and apeal to a more general/professional market. This may not have made them more restrictive than other companies but maybe more visible in the effort. On the other hand, there have been some kilted participants at Harley Owner Group events. Harley kilts would not be out of the question.
