Yeah, but no black man is going to look cooler in a kilt than Samuel L. Jackson did. Because, well come on! It's Samuel L. Jackson!

You got that right!! Love that flick, and he is the ultimate of kilted cool.
I do gotta say though that I love these guys' style and outlook. Not sure if it is "Pimp My Kilt" or "Kilt My Pimp", but those are some awfully sharp looking dudes. Perfect photo examples of confidence in a kilt.
Never heard of them, but thanks so much for sharing! Gonna look into this further as I find it very fascinating.

And yet some of their attire costs as much as 1500 euros...
According to a blog anyway. Quote:
"Generally, they only dress up on weekends and special occasions. Designer brands of suits and accessories are a big deal to Sapeurs. Complete attire can cost up to 1500 euros, although ironically, many of them don"t have a job. To get the whole outfit that can get them the sought-after prestige can take several years. Most of them start up with suits borrowed from established sapeurs that initiate them in the secrets of the Sape."

I think their kilts look grand. I particularly like the blue-green with the tartan vest. I would recommend a ruche tie, but the guy in red kilt may have something like one on. In any case they all look better in kilts than I do with my Dunlap disease. ;-)
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Idi Amin
A 2006 film, "The Last King of Scotland", was about Idi Amin of Uganda. Apparently, he loved all things Scottish and sometimes wore the kilt.

Kiltmakers must be drooling at the prospect of a new market! Very cool. Makes the point again of how common sense kilts for men are.

All they need to do is hike their kilts up to the proper height. Otherwise I think they look pretty dapper.
