Tonight I will have on my USAKilt semi-trad in American Heritage. Shirt will be a white t-shirt with "good girls don't...." (you know the rest of it). On the feet will be black Harley boots. On Saturday, USAKilt semi-trad in Holyrood tartan. Another white t-shirt with the same words on the front. Same boots. I will also be carrying around a digital SLR camera. For a hat on Saturday it will be a white wide brim hat. Probably won't need it on Friday evening.
Looking forward to it.

Did you mean the "Robertson" kilt you'll be wearing? A Mackay eh? Quite a handsome sett there too mate. Aye, frugality is indeed a unique, particularly Scottish, trait!
See you tomorrow...
Yours aye,

Yes, I did, sometimes my fingers and brain don't communicate very well on the computer. Very rare that I made a mistake but spelled it correctly in the process. I have just been informed by my better half that I will most likely be complimenting the kilt with my finest green "Kermit the Frog" t-shirt. Not sure I'll go along with that suggestion though. Love the Mackay tartan for sure and am saving my pennies to make that my first made to measure kilt.

Hahaha, no worries mate. Yeah...not too sure about the "Kermit the Frog" tee, no offence to your better half, as I am sure she is a lovely, kind person, but you might fair better if you left that particular tee at home! Just kidding, wear what ya like! Aye, the Mackay tartan surely will not disappoint, a fine sett indeed - may I recommend the heavyweight (15-16 oz pure new wool) version from either Lochcarron or Dalgliesh? Good idea to make it your first bespoke kilt!

When I do get a kilt made I certainly intend to use the heaviest material I can afford. I think part of her thinking with the shirt is that I am loaning a kilt to a friend of ours and we don't want to have him start thinking he needs a proper kilt shirt. Get him hooked on kilts then we'll get him visiting here and he can learn proper style.

Just got back from the Dayton Celtic Fest, Friday night. Had a good time. A storm passed through at 7:30. Resulted in Gaelic Storm's show being cut short (and all the others in progress at the same time). Here are a few kilt pictures from tonight.
Back again Saturday
