Ryan I'm honored to do that for you. I think it's a great way to honor and remember your grandpa. I'm glad you and your family like it. Thanks all for the kind words. My woodburnings are still getting better but I have to say this one might just be my favorite I have ever done.
Let YOUR utterance be always with graciousness, seasoned with salt, so as to know how you ought to give an answer to each one.

The honor was all mine in working with you, my friend. And my family/friends have been every bit as blown away by your work as me. My mom and grandmother both got a bit misty when they first saw it. And my grandmother, one of the only people left who actually knew him when that picture was taken, can't get over the likeness.
In some ways, and don't ask me how this is possible, I think it may capture him better than the photograph did.

Incredible work, young man! I have tried to do this many times and failed miserably. This is truly an art. Unlike painting, there is very little room for error.
Beautiful job. I'm very envious of your talent.

Ryan: What a marvelous tribute to your grandfather - a genuine hero. You can see the steely glint in his eye, the one that you obviously inherited. Thank you for sharing a bit of his glorious and moving story.
Matt (Cowher): I can't believe you, buddy. The artistry and originality in this piece of work surpasses even that in the kilt belt you designed. You're a talented young man!
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

And even less. I think, for correcting error. Truly superb work, Cowher; congratulations.
And Ryan, thank you for your comments about your grandfather; they reminded me of mine, who had 11 grandsons and managed to make each of us feel special. That's a precedent that challenges me.
