    Thanks, Madadh.
The girlfriend asked if we were "goin' kilted" and I wasn't sure what to tell her.

I'll bring along a kilt and if it's not too hot, I can change in the car. Local TV weather is predicting upper 80's and humid for the weekend. Hopefully it won't get that hot.

Wow, 165 and 170 lbs - what a friend calls, "dogs that walk you."

I'll probably run up for the day tomorrow (Sunday). It's about a 2 hour jaunt, but worth it to see Barleyjuice, Seven Nations, etc...!

For those who didn't attend, it was a blast. Very well-organized festival with great music, lots of food and lots of kilts (including a number worn backwards, for some reason. Maybe it is a New York thing.) Very compact fair grounds with parking right next door so you didn't have to wander for miles. It was definately worth a visit. They have a full weekend pas for $25 which was really nice as we could wander in and out and visit friends who were camping at the site.

Only saw one kilt vendor (Frugal Kilts) so if you are a kiltmaker or retailer it might be a good opportunity to sign up and make some sales.

Great festival. Sorry I didn't get to see anyone. High Kings, Elders, and Barlyjuice were fantastic. Looking forward to next year.

The girlfriend and I were there early Saturday. Saw a few kilts, but most of them were either in pipe bands, or the judges. We brought ours, but decided it was too hot, and boy was it ever hot inside the buildings !!!!

Listened to some of the music. Being on diets, we passed by all the food stands. Mostly watched the pipe band competion and wandered through the vender building.

Especially liked the cultural building. Learned more about Irish settlements here in upstate NY.

They also had some old maps of Ireland. I found out more about the old boundrys of the family kingdom.

Also, picked up some info on how to do better ancestor searches on line.
