Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I live near the Warren area. I will not be able to make the kilt night over the line this saturday, as I don't have a kilt yet (it's being made right now), and I will be going to a family member's house near Selfridge Air Base to watch the air show. After my kilt gets in though, I will try to make some kilt nights

A warm Scottish welcome from middle England.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Welcome to the forum.
Was just in your neck of the woods on the weekend of the 5 & 6th for the Saint Andrew's Society Games in Livonia. Would recommend you go there next year if you havent attended before as it was a well run event.
Ran into a # of MacGregors there this year and believe there was a MacGregor clan tent set up as well.

Welcome neighbor!!!! If you can, come check out the Michigan Renn Fest in Holly on the 27th--Highland weekend. I'll be with the rest of our local Highland Athletes throwing cabers, stones and other stupid heavy things. Come by and say hi! Great place to be kilted.

Unfortunately, due to bills and other expenses, I will not be able to go until September 17th, which is Italian Carnivale weekend. I will however be wearing a kilt anyways.
Thanks everyone for the welcomes. Shows how nice kilt wearers actually are, and scottish people in general for that matter! It's just amazing how far everyone is away, but a site can make you so close to each other...
