Re: "You Can't Fix Stupid"
Lancer, you mentioned that the ladies were AA.
Did you mention this because they had an urban, gangsta look and attitude going on? Or is the ethnicity just not really important?

Re: "You Can't Fix Stupid"
I have had one negative reaction from a group of teenage girls myself. Come to think of it all the negative comments I have received has come from teenagers (male and female both). Thankfully none have been nearly this confrontational.

Re: "You Can't Fix Stupid"
Jay,
Their ethnicity isn't all that important, really. They had the whole gangsta look and attitude going on. Especially the one with the chip on her shoulder who was wearing a top reminiscent of the movie "Flashdance". Somewhat baggy, collar torn off, cropped short so the midriff shows worn over TIGHT jeans strategically torn and worn over black tights and ankle-high stilleto heel boots.
Cruiser348,
Alot of the negative comments I have gotten about my kilts have come from twenty-somethings rather than from teens. Most of the positive comments have come from teenaged girls and occasionally teenaged guys.

Lol! I think nowadays there's more of a threat having the kilt adopted by the hipsters as being ironic.

Re: "You Can't Fix Stupid"
As far as teenaged girls (or boys for that matter) specializing in being rude, I suspect that how they are raised has a lot to do with it. The parents don't care therefore why should the kids?

Re: "You Can't Fix Stupid"
The very first time I wore my kilt was in Las Vegas. My wife and I got into an elevator with three young college girls. They were dressed for a night out at the clubs in skimpy low-cut outfits. The most vocal (translated: most drunk) spoke up - "I like your skirt." As this was my first time kilted, I wasn't used to the comments that we all receive. Her very candidness put me on the defensive. The first thing to pop into my head (mind you it was Las Vegas, and I had been drinking a bit too) was to reply "I like you t!ts." But out of respect for my wife, and not wanting to get slapped by anyone in the elevator, chose to keep my mouth shut. Even better, one of the other young ladies literally smacked her friend and corrected her about my attire. Feeling a bit stupid, the first girl remained quiet for the rest of the ride downstairs. The elevator opened, and we all went our separate ways.
I did confess that evil thought to my wife later that night...and she thanked me for biting my tongue that time. Since then, she has witnessed first-hand some of the rudeness from complete strangers, and probably wouldn’t mind if I lashed back occasionally.
