Exactly, Hawk: strange and twisted, and certainly warped, if not turned inside-out several times after being mentally crumpled up, then somewhat uncrumpled...

    Re: Born This Way"

I did not know about (understand about) my Scottish heritage untill I was grown and was told my Grandfather would wear his kilt to his "meetings", found out on my own he belonged to The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.

He would also dress in his kilt and play the bagpipes in the town parade.

I guess I wanted to know more about him. A Fourth Turning kind of thing.

    Meadcrafter,
Your grandfather belonged to a great and honorable organization. As he was active rather than being just a dues card carrier I can imagine that he would have been a fine man to meet. FYI that organization is very much alive and well. It is filled with interesting information, fellowship, and life enhancing philosophy. Some of the brethren in Denver wear kilts to meetings, too.

I often wear my kilt to Scottish Rite, and to regular Craft Lodge meetings as well.
