Well, according to our family historian (my late paternal aunt) my background includes some southern Canadian Cree. And I've taught a few martial-art seminars up in Victoria, B.C. and really love it up there. So I guess maybe a bit, eh.

    Thanks!

It's a Ferguson Britt Duin Uasal Mor with "Tobacco" colored bag and dark-brown cantle trim & tassels. Because of the capacious size and its color, I've named it The Great Pumpkin.

On another note. . .I'm really liking the "ankle brogue" boots for outdoorsy stuff like this, and I'm wondering: Lots of Xmarkers have talked about getting some, but am I the only one so far who's actually done it?

I agree Chas, on the earth tones which are the basis for much of my wardrobe, both THCD and my generic occidental clothes! Dale its a braw looking kilt, and would look great anywhere, but especially here in New England at this time of year (the Fall).

    Re: Maple Leaf, First Week

BTW, that first wearing last Monday night actually began at work: The synagogue that employs me was having a special appreciation dinner for staff who had assisted with various aspects of our High Holy Days celebrations, and as Director of Security I was a part of that. Since I was going directly from the Temple to pick up the 13th Baron of Rachane on the way to the Saint Andrew's Society dinner, I changed at the Temple before leaving, still in "smart casual" in open-neck British tan safari shirt under black lambskin Stillwater kilt-cut jacket with the "Great Pumpkin" F-B sporran, mustard Lewis hose, claret garter ties, and black brogues.

The dinner began with appetizers in our Sukkah in the courtyard before moving inside for the other courses, and I think "my" colors fit very well with that:

Way behind the arc of this thread, here--I love how you've put it all together. I already have the tartan picked out for my next tank, but every time I see the 'leaf, I become less and less sure.
