    Here is a buttonhole on one of my waistcoats, interestingly also a MacLean tartan.

    That is a beautifully made buttonhole!! It looks great with the gimp and the keyhole.
    I want to re-do the buttonholes to make them look like that. I think I should have used fray-check to control the fuzz of the yarn showing between the stitches.

    For the first time ever, on this last kilt, I changed thread color midway down the pleats. Then again, I machine-sewed the top half of the fell, hand sewed the bottom half.
