    Good work there, Josh.

I liked the "this is heavy" comment.

Kinda did look like you pressed out the last snatch. You're off camera people didn't cut you any slack on it either. What are friends for?

Kit, if you watched the Beijing olympics, every time a lifter got injured, a red haired man ran up to the platform to treat the lifter...

That man was the voice you heard calling me out on that press, one of my training partners. We train at his place. He's also my sports ortho doc.

NICE! I like your platform, too. Keep that up and you'll be throwing big, right out of the blocks.

The Florida season starts in Fall, tapering off in April, and so does mine.

Sent in my first registration, for Ocala Highland Games Oct. 6th 2012 - yeah, so it's not *really* 2013 yet, but it does kick off our 2013 season.
Our games dry up fast - much of it has to do with less athletes allowed on the fields these days, people come to the games to eat bad food and buy tartan tat these days, and that makes more money. That is the reason for the very, very early registration.

There are Games coming up in Florida that you could throw at...

Dunedin is at the beginning of April. If you start putting in some throw-time now, you could go out and do OK, though probably not as well as you'd like.

If you're willing to drive up to South Carolina, there's Greeneville at the end of May. The Masters will be throwing on Saturday, open classes on Sunday.

Blairsville Scottish Festival in Georgia in June...might be kind of brutally humid and hot, though...

All the games happening around now are already filled up. :-/

Dunedin is probably my favorite games.

Seriously? The other two I listed are "full"?

That's strange to me. Here, our Games take all comers, though they might not let people "walk on" with a last minute entry if the field is crowded. If you get an application in two weeks ahead of time the AD makes sure there are enough judges to handle the groups.

    Re: Triskaidekaphobia - Joshua's Training

I expected to take it easy tonight.

I didn't live up to my expectations - I've really got to fix that weak military press.

    Front Squat
    3x50kg
    3x70kg
    3x80kg
    3x85kg
    3x90kg
    2x100kg / 220lbs
    2x110kg / 242lbs
    2x115kg / 253lbs

    Squat Clean
    2x70kg
    1x80kg
    1x85kg
    1x90kg

    Behind-the-neck jerks
    1x50kg
    1x90kg
    1x100kg / 220lbs
    1x110kg / 242lbs
    2 misses @ 120kg / 264lbs

    Strict Military Press
    3x50kg
    2x3x60kg / 132lbs

Kettlebell pullthroughs ala Weight For Height
    15x20kg / 44lbs
