Re: Bridges of Scotland
Ever since my physics class in high school, I have enjoyed the beauty of bridges. Alas, as I view these images, I find myself seeing wonderful decked arches, trestles and the occasional through arch. And yet, each has a symmetry and beauty of its own, owing to the materials used, and the placement of the bridge itself.

Not a bridge per say but the Falkirk Wheel is a marvel of engineering.

Stunning, Chris! Do you have a pic of the Clachan "Bridge Over the Atlantic"? I've a really wonderful angle I took years ago, but can't find it and suspect it may be a 2.25 square transparency (that tells you just how old).

I'm rather fond of the Spey River bridge in Badenoch.

Re: Bridges of Scotland
for Thistledown, the Clachan Bridge aka The Bridge Over The Atlantic, and for those that don't know it, the bridge connects the mainland of Scotland to the Isle of Seil, it's one lane is only as wide as a vehicle, I am not so keen on this bridge, but will admit that I haven't explored all angles of it, and yes, I know it's more photogenic than my photo would suggest

Although not spectacular in design, and very lacking in style, I think the scenery matches this rough, rugged and ready bridge located in Glen Scammadale
