Re: A case for the Kilt Detectives

Why not just contact the organizers of the Central Florida Highland Games and ask for a list of the vendors. Then you can check with each one until you find the one with the black patterned kilt.

    Iain,

I was there and I think I remember the kilt your wife noticed. It was a cargo kilt made of cotton with a black and dark gray plaid pattern. I also liked it, but did not think it was worth the $100 asking price.

Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the seller.

That may be the best way forward.

Yes, that may be it. She said it wasn't tartan, but honestly, I've been having doubts such a kilt exists. I don't doubt her veracity, just her memory.

    Thanks, everyone, for your help.

Re: A case for the Kilt Detectives

That was the one and only time I have seen this kilt. I first noticed it when a young man walked by (at the games) wearing one. So, I decided to look for the vendor selling it.

After inspecting one up close, and finding out it was made of cotton, I assumed it would probably wrinkle quickly and need to be pressed often. So, I passed on it.
