You look excelent, sir; I would agree with what others (including yourself) have said about the hose choice.
My only thought, and please don't take this the wrong way, but black tie seems an extremely high level of formality for an Easter service.

Thanks, MacLowlife!
Yep, the sleeves will be tweaked. I just bought a Braemar from one of the other members, that'll also need some sleeve work done, so when that arrives, I'll take both jackets to my tailor and have them done.
I chose the tan hose this morning, in an effort not to distract from the kilt and PC. But after looking at the photo, I'm thinking bottle green or black hose (perhaps with gold flashes) would have worked just fine. I don't yet own any diced or argyle patterned hose, but those will come in time.
In the meantime, I think everything worked well enough, and I really enjoyed wearing everything.

Nothing's taken in any way other than sincerity. Thanks for the input! Yeah, I agree the PC may have been a little too "black tie" for church, but being Easter, I figured I could push it a little. When I get my Braemar, I'll then have an option that'll work a little better.
Thanks again, for the input.

Hey- There it is. You looked sharp, had a good time, and undoubtedly contributed to others' enjoyment of the day aswell. That's a successful outing, by any standards!
Rock on, sir! And enjoy that Braemar, when you get it- I think you'll find yourself reaching for it very often.

Easter is the traditional time to turn out in your best. Which Unixken did.

This is true. I had to keep up with all the young kids in their Easter dresses and bonnets, and sharp looking suits. ;)

unixken, you look smashing. I agree with Ryan though, that formal wear is too much for an Easter service, unless the church specifically calls for black tie. For that reason, when you get your Braemar, you'll probably end up wearing that more often than the PC!
