I've had some for a year and they are good as new. I wash them with my other socks in the washer and throw them in the dryer with them. For eight bucks a pop, you can't go wrong. I have also some scrunch down socks from them for my more casual wear. Love them all.

Bravo! I routinely wear my ss suit in the summer, but it never occurred to me to have one converted. I am working on a few lightweight solutions myself! ... I'm just a little south of you in Durham.

Looks great! I'm trying to figure out Summer solutions for here in Boston. I know, I know, not nearly as hot as the South - it's all relative I suppose.
This will be my first Summer kilted. I've been 3 season kilted for about 4 years now, but Summer never just seemed right somehow (all I have are 16 oz. / "traditional" wool kilts.)
(My forthcoming kilts - a Matt Newsome box pleat and an Alt kilt cotton, will be my Summer go-to kilts. I'm going crazy waiting for them!)
I guess it all depends on what you're used to. For me, mid 80's and humid is just not wool friendly (especially as far as socks and jackets are concerned.)
I really like the outfit you've put together Mael. I've been looking for cotton kilt hose for awhile now - I'll check out Sock Dreams! I still need to find a Summer kilt jacket and/or convert a "regular" one. Thanks for the motivation!

Great look Ern. Now I have something new to add to my list. I have two conversions in the works now but for cooler or indoor use only.

Aye, David. I'm back for GMHG. Pehaps we can take a hike and then afterwards go for a hamburger.
